Antique dealer for 40 years, I specialized in primitive art. I find in it all the visual fundamentals of modern art, with the added freedom, simplicity, and sense of the sacred that we have lost. Artistically, they have nothing to envy us!
I find it very interesting to mix it with something very contemporary or even a more classical style, because primitive art is universal; it speaks to our deepest emotions, to our distant shared roots.
I particularly like pieces with a cubist or very minimalist style.
