Kota Sangu Gabon Relic Keeper Fetish
Kota Sangu fetish statue from Gabon, the famous guardian of relics. Composed of a wooden core to which strips of yellow and red copper and other metals are attached; the neck is adorned here with a long necklace (coiled copper wire).
Height 37 cm, very beautiful patina resulting from use and age; note that the lower part—the section inside the basket and thus protected by fabric—does not have the same patina as the rest of the fetish.
