Old Paris Empire Vase, France C. 1820 — Cobalt Bands & Gold Decoration
A finely made Paris porcelain amphora, early 19th century, featuring an ovoid white body with cobalt and gilt bands, enamelled floral garlands, and stylised Neoclassical scroll borders. The handles terminate in rosettes, and the vase rests on a square gilt plinth. Unmarked, typical of Paris workshops such as Dihl et Guérhard and Darte Frères, with stylistic echoes of early Jacob Petit.
