Green Glass Cup With Bluish Highlights – Roman Period, 2nd–3rd Century A.d. Archaeology
A beautiful green blown-glass cup with subtle bluish highlights. It dates to the Roman period, around the 2nd or 3rd century AD.
The cup is complete, aside from a few small chips, but unfortunately shows signs of past damage. It has been fully reassembled from about ten fragments. Despite its condition, it remains a fascinating testament to the craftsmanship of Roman glassmakers and retains its appeal for collectors of ancient glass.
