Vintage Tiered Architectural Desk; Restored In Mahogany And Flamed Mahogany Veneer

Antique tiered architectural desk, restored in mahogany and flamed mahogany veneer on all sides; the tier features three central compartments and four drawers (two with knobs and two lockable) flanked by pilasters, the top covered in black leather embossed with small iron motifs, likely original Russian leather like that of the two side pull-outs; the base opens via three drawers, one of which is compartmentalized and another featuring a chest. The well-designed piece is supported by two front column-style legs emerging from a base, which lends it great elegance, and two rear pilaster-style legs, joined in pairs from front to back by a violin-shaped glide.
Comes with its key.  
In good condition for its age, with a few chips in the veneer and some lifting; the leather on the pull handles is in good condition, while the leather on the top is worn but can be preserved.
A lovely, high-quality piece of furniture that can be placed against a wall or in the center of a room.
