Neoclassical Covered Pot In Capodimonte Hard Porcelain With Hunting And Bacchanalian Scenes

Large neoclassical covered pot in Capodimonte hard porcelain depicting a hunting and bacchanalian scene.
The vase, a cylinder surmounted by a gadrooned lid topped by a pine cone as a grip, resting on a pedestal itself set on a square base flanked by four small consoles at the corners, shows the forms and decorative elements characteristic of the late 18th and early 19th centuries such as : fluting, canals, laurel leaves, acanthus leaves, mascarons with faun heads, to which the bas-relief frieze depicting a hunting and bacchanalian scene responds.
Underglaze blue mark with crowned N (for Naples) under the base, characteristic of Ferdinand's royal factory from 1790 to 1806. However, from the first half of the 19th century, this mark would be used by a large number of workshops and factories in and around Naples.
Vase of great purity of form, sober and chic in its white enamel.
Height: 43 cm.
Width at mascarons: 23 cm.
