English mahogany desk from the Restoration period – 19th century
Elegant English mahogany desk from the Restoration period, dating from the first half of the 19th century.
The front features two drawers arranged in two rows, fitted with turned wooden knobs. Its rectangular top is upholstered in green leather with fine gold-stamped decoration, framed by a beautiful mahogany border.
The desk rests on two substantial turned and fluted legs, extended by ornate volute feet, which end in casters. The two leg sections are joined by a turned crossbar, lending the piece great elegance and character.
Fine English cabinetmaking and a lovely patina on the mahogany.
