Empire period gilt bronze clock – Allegory of the Sciences and Arts – Winged Angel, Consulate period. A finely chased and mercury-gilded bronze Empire/Consulate period clock. Allegory of the Sciences and Arts: library, scientific instruments, celestial globe and armillary sphere, accompanied by a winged angel. Dial signed "À Toulouse". Very fine quality of chasing and original gilding. Circa 1805–1815. The pendulum is missing and needs servicing.
