Jean-Louis-Marcel Cosson (Bordeaux, 1878 – Paris, 1956) was a French Post-Impressionist painter, often described as a follower of Degas. A member of the Salon des Artistes Français (honourable mention 1901, third-class medal 1911), he also exhibited at the Salon de la Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts and the Salon des Tuileries. A painter of Parisian life, theatre, circus and dance, he is especially sought after for his scenes of the Opera foyer.
