Light filtering through a window creates a delicate chiaroscuro effect. A specialist in Victorian domestic interiors, Provis is represented in the collections of the Victoria & Albert Museum, London. Presented in its original gilt wood rococo-style frame with pierced scrollwork and foliate decoration, bearing a named plaque "A. PROVIS".
