Macario Vitalis (1898-1989) was a Filipino painter and draughtsman who worked in France from the 1920s until the mid-1980s, associated with the School of Paris. Influenced by Jacques Villon, he adopted a style inspired by Cubism before evolving towards Impressionism and then Pointillism. Upon arriving in Paris in 1925, he settled in Montmartre and produced numerous drawings.
