A. Trassard (20th C.) - The Port Of Concarneau, Fishing Boats école De Concarneau"
Oil on panel signed "A. Trassard" lower right, depicting a lively scene of the return from fishing in the port of Concarneau (Brittany): tunny boats and luggers with ochre sails moored along the quay, fishermen unloading their nets, women in Breton coiffes carrying baskets and villagers on the pier, the town silhouetted beneath a luminous end-of-day sky. A rich, atmospheric composition with a fine golden light, in the tradition of Breton marine painters. The green boat bears the registration "CC" (the maritime district of Concarneau).
