A graduate of the Bourges School of Fine Arts, he trained with renowned ceramists Jacqueline and Jean Lerat before joining the Keraluc factory in Quimper. Disagreeing with management, he left Keraluc around 1973 to open his own workshop, "La Cerisaie", near Chinon, where he continued a production very close to that developed in Quimper, mainly vases, lamp bases and candlesticks in salt stoneware.
