Charming blown glass balsamaire from the Roman period, dated to the 1st or 2nd century A.D.

This small antique bottle, intended to hold perfumes, precious oils or aromatic essences, was commonly used in everyday life and in funeral rites in Roman antiquity.

The specimen features a beautiful soft green hue characteristic of ancient Roman glassware, enriched with fine bubbles and natural irregularities testifying to the ancient blown glass technique. Its elegant, slender silhouette makes it a decorative and archaeological piece of great charm.

The balsamaire is presented on an unobtrusive Plexiglas base to which it is attached for perfect stability and elegant display.
