Rare medieval dagger dating from the second half of the 15th century.

This interesting edged weapon comes from a former Dutch collection and was discovered in Rotterdam in the mid-1960s during construction work on the city’s subway system.

Forged from iron, it features a sturdy, thick single-edged blade. Its hilt is remarkably well-preserved and still retains its original wooden grip, now petrified—a feature rarely preserved on this type of archaeological object.

The item is in good condition, completely stable, with a beautiful antique patina attesting to its authenticity and age.

This dagger is a fine example of late medieval weaponry, illustrating both the skill of the cutlers and the military craftsmanship of the 15th century. A rare and evocative piece for collectors of antique weapons, medieval archaeology, or historical artifacts.
