(4 trios available)A lovely and unusual Venetian Murano ruby glass cup, saucer, and plate/saucer trio enameled with characters and scenes from the Commedia dell'Arte, with enamel jeweling, and fine gilding. A monogram “P” is included on the saucer and plate/saucer. Aventurine inclusions in cup bases and handle and base rim of the enameled saucer/side plate
The less decorated saucer has a recessed cavetto/well and so is clearly intended as a saucer. The highly decorated plate/saucer has a much shallower cavetto and so can double as a side plate.
Measurements (approx):
Cup: 9.5cm (3.75in) high. 8.8cm (3.46in) diameter at the lip.
Saucer: 15.2cm (6in) diameter
Plate/saucer: 16.1cm (6.3in) diameter
Condition: Excellent. No damage.
