A 19th-century German KPM Berlin porcelain tea caddy, circa 1870, of box form with rococo style decoration, two sides subtly ribbed and panels painted with fruit, the other two sides with Watteauesque scenes, all framed in gilt, and puce and gilt stripes, the lid similarly decorated, with a yellow and blue flower finial. 18.5 cm (7.3 in) high.
Maker’s marks: Berlin sceptre mark in underglaze blue.
