"Advertising Bust In Opaline, Candy Jar, R. Poincaré, Circa 1915."
Advertising bust in white opaline, bearing the image of Raymond Poincaré, president of the French Republic from 1913 to 1920. It was in reality a candy jar, advertising for Maucourt, Lille. The opening was through the base, formerly fitted with a metal cap which has disappeared.. Excellent condition., some "dust in the eye" due to a bubble of material during shaping.. Height 35.5 cm; width 18.5 cm; depth 10.5 cm Weight approximately 1.5 kg, very careful shipping extra..
