2 Buddhist Palm Prayer Books, Sri-lanka, Early 20th Century
Two antique Buddhist prayer booklets in wood and palm leaves (olles or ôles), also known as "Pirit Potha".
Sri-Lanka (Ceylon), circa 1920-30.
Each booklet offers 22 leaves, 20 of which finely engraved on both sides with texts in Sinhalese alphabet and traditional Buddhist drawings. Palm wood protective covers and plant fiber ties (blessed ritual tie).
Both are in very good condition, with minor traces of use.

Length of both = 18, 5 cm, widths = 4.3 cm and 3.5 cm, thickness = 3 cm
