Beautiful Stupa-shaped Offering Box, Black And Red Lacquer, Burma, 19th Century

A very pretty two-part box, echoing the well-known shape of a stupas. This is an offering box. Made of red lacquer on a black base, it features multiple decorative elements and a very high finial. The interior is lined with thick black lacquer.
Excellent condition, with some normal wear for an item that has been handled regularly.
Asian working, Burma, dating from the second half of the 19th century.
Dimensions: 24cm x 10.5cm diameter. Base diameter 9.5cm.
