Watercolor Roses Framed Under Glass Dlg By Blanche Odin, Circa 1935
Artist: Blanche Odin ?
Unsigned, this delicate watercolor framed under glass and representing a bouquet of roses in a large glass bowl, obviously evokes the works of Blanche ODIN (Troyes, 1865 - Bagnères-de-Bigorre, 1957).
Based in Paris, then in Bagnères-de-Bigorre from 1934, she was very prolific, had her workshops and many students...
Without doubt this watercolor, if it is not by her hand, is the work of one of her students, apparently gifted.
The support paper is very thick, like the one she used, and the framer's label, on the back, located in Tarbes, not far from Bagnères, are all elements which allow us to strongly assume it.
Very good general condition.
The frame has some damage on one side (see last photos).
Dimensions =
On the frame = 55 cm x 44.5 cm x 3 cm
On view = 48.5 cm x 38 cm
Weight = 2.100 kg
Eventualy, shipping in addition.
