Set of Three Napoleon III Ebonised Chairs with Far Eastern-Inspired Decoration – 19th Century

Set of three ebonised wooden chairs with polychrome and gilt decoration inspired by Far Eastern art.

The openwork backs feature curved lines and a central panel depicting a figure in a landscape. The seats are upholstered in fabric decorated with floral and bird motifs, in keeping with the overall decorative style.

The front cabriole legs are embellished with painted flowers, foliage and gilt geometric motifs.

Bespoke upholstery fabric designs can be created upon request.

Some wear and losses to the painted decoration. The upholstery of one of the three chairs is torn and requires repair.
