Combat saber for a light cavalry officer.
Brass guard with a columnar branch, with shuttle-shaped mounts.
Ebony squared spindle in good condition, scroll-shaped quillon.
Engraved and blued blade gilded in thirds, 84 cm long, the tip is a little oxidized (not serious)probably from sitting too long in its unprotected scabbard.
Brass scabbard just decorated with the lines , numerous shocks at the bottom of the scabbard which proves intensive use.
a repair also at the level of the lower strap elegantly made by imitating an additional strap.
This saber is typical of field sabers both sober and elegant without unnecessary frills.
