Artist: Hussard
95% gilt brass mount. Draped cap followed by a long tail with a 5-petaled flower in the center. Corded handle covered in black patent calfskin leather. A gadroon-shaped piece with a five-petaled flower in the center conceals the silk rivet. The knuckle guard is distinctly widened at its base from the pommel and tapers to meet at a right angle. The upper part is draped and features a five-petaled flower in its center. The crossguard is widened to form two lozenge-shaped quillons with draped decoration, each with a five-petaled flower in its center. The quillon is straight with a button finial, and on the top is the collection number of the former collector, "1908". The Damascus steel blade is 75 cm long and 3.5 cm wide, with its original sword knot. The Damascus steel scabbard has two suspension rings whose studs are welded directly onto the steel scabbard and a lyre-shaped iron tip. The weapon is 92 cm long. In good condition, see photos.
