A rectangular tsuba (handguard) from the Nadegaku Gata period, dating from the 18th-19th centuries.
Made of iron with inlaid takazogan decoration in copper and silver, depicting two figures at a window, one looking at a constellation, the other at a serpent's head emerging from the ground.
Traces of oxidation.
