Originally a flintlock pistol of the 1816 model, it was first converted to the T system after 1841.
It was then converted a second time after 1816 to the TBIS system.
We therefore find the markings of these modifications: on the breech tang, "M 1816 bis," and on the barrel, the caliber "17.6 A" to confirm the rebore.
At the location of the blocked touchhole, there is a marking "c.1861."
The number 199 is marked on the barrel, lock plate, and stock; could this be a "JUHOT" mark?
Various marks are present on the brass parts.
