French Napoleonic An IX Light Cavalry Sword
Napoleonic French AN IX model, light cavalry trooper's sword. Typical three-bar, brass hilt design showing a clear "VERSAILLES" mark and Imperial 'B' inspectors mark. Leather covered grip with both central brass lozenges, some damage to the leather. Single fullered curved blade show clear three Poincons to the forte aswell as 'Mfture Imple Du Klingenthal Juin 1813" to the spine of the blade, measuring approximately 86cm long. Accompanied with its correct, early model steel scabbard. A very good example.
