Officers' Epaulettes From The French Revolution Period

Pair of French Revolution officer's epaulettes, for the rank of second lieutenant. Gold braid lined with red Melton cloth. Cannetille fringe on one, simple braid on the other, in keeping with the rank of second lieutenant. Both pieces measure approximately 130mm long by 55mm wide. Slight stains on the braid of one, visible where the other has rested for many years. Some minor stitching repairs, otherwise in good condition.
