Miniature Kgl Napoleonic Light Infantry Officer Silhouette
A finely executed, Georgian period silhouette miniature of a King's German Legion Light Infantry officer. Contained in its original gilt oval frame which measures approximately 8cm wide by 9.5cm tall, suspended by a hanging ring. The sitter shows and officer wearing a high collar light infantry officer's Rifles green jacket and a black leather crossbelt with the silver whistle chain clearly visible. To the breast of the sitter is a Waterloo medal ribbon. To the rear of the frame is a paper lining which has an applied description of the sitter in German writing, indicating the 1815 campaign and Waterloo Medal. A very nice piece.
