Main shaft signed "Versailles," hallmarked "B.D" within an oval by Brouilly, inspector from September 1800 to November 1805. Guard with remnants of an "LF" hallmark?
Long-tailed pommel. Wooden grip wrapped in black waxed calfskin, with an oval brass stud on each side.
Curved, hollow-edged blade, 88 cm long, with the back marked “Manufacture de Solingen K.S & C.”
Iron scabbard with wooden end caps and half-round ring fittings.
Total length of the weapon: 106.5 cm.
