Polished brass hilt. Four-branch guard with a plate, the main branch signed Versailles. Numerous hallmarks throughout. Short-tailed brass pommel and ferrule on a wooden grip covered in calfskin and brass wire wrapping. Flat, straight blade 95.5 cm long, stamped with the fasces and the "AP" hallmark of the Paris mint. Black patent leather scabbard (no creases) with three brass mounts with scalloped edges and steel rings. Overall length: 113.5 cm. Scabbard: 97.5 cm. Blade width at the ricasso: 3.6 cm. Thickness: 1 cm. Length: 95.5 cm. First Empire. Very good condition, complete original wire wrapping, no damage to the calfskin of the grip, rare original sword knot, back stitching of the scabbard leather in very good condition. Clasp.
