"Art Deco Period Games, Tea Or Side Table, France, Circa 1930"
Art Deco style and period games table. It is French made around 1930. This piece of furniture is of beautiful geometric rigor, based on the shape of the octagon. It is covered with a beautiful rosewood veneer which covers all the surfaces. Each of the four truncated angles of the top conceals, at the level of the feet, a drawer each having two nickel-plated metal cups for various uses. This table has been completely restored and repolished traditionally with a shellac buffer. Its top is protected by a new glass slab, identical to the old one, heavily scratched by use. This piece of furniture, originally a games table, can also be used as a tea table, small dining table or even an occasional desk.
