I am offering for sale this beautiful Art Deco-style period desk, a French piece dating from circa 1930.
This is an asymmetrical, modernist design inspired by Cubism, consisting of two modules of different heights that lend a dynamic appearance to the piece’s silhouette.
The front features two drawers, a door, and an open storage compartment.
This double-sided desk is finished with a beautiful rosewood veneer, accented by various polished nickel-plated metal details such as the handles, lock plates, keys (three included and functional), and the support tube for the open storage cube.
The entire piece has been fully restored using professional, traditional methods.
It has been completely repolished with a natural shellac pad.
The original nickel plating has been repolished to restore its full luster.
The original locks have been serviced and are now fully functional.
