Pair Of
Artist: Pierre Guariche
Here's an elegant pair of armchairs designed for the Belgian publisher Meurop by the great French designer Pierre Guariche.
This model is called "Conseil".
It's a freestanding shell resting on a very stable quadripod base in black satin lacquered tubular steel.
This armchair was created around 1960.
It is not currently being reissued, unlike some of the publisher's other models.
They have been completely restored:
the legs have been repainted identically and our upholsterer has reupholstered the seats, scrupulously respecting the original covers for both the stitching and the interior padding.
These armchairs have been upholstered in a high-strength upholstery fabric, a blend of cotton and technical fibers.
One of the armchairs still has its original label from the publisher Meurop.
This model, which has become a design classic, combines both seating comfort and reduced floor space, and they move easily thanks to their contained weight.
The ever-modern design and contemporary upholstery give them a wide range of uses in any interior, all at an attractive price given their meticulous restoration.
