Bar Stools, Juliette Belarti Edition, Belgium, Circa 1960

These stools from the Juliette Belarti publishing house (a contraction of "Belgique artistique," meaning artistic Belgium) are sold with the bar shown in the previous listing. They date from the early 1960s and are Belgian-made. They consist of a very stable tripod base in satin black lacquered metal and a fabric seat. Their distinctive aesthetic comes from the heart shape of the seat cushion, echoed in the leg support bar. They are in very good condition, with no paint loss and the fabric practically immaculate, showing no signs of wear. They were probably reupholstered very recently in a very soft fabric. Originally, they were part of a complete set of five, which you can therefore purchase together. We suggest you acquire either a pair for €750, or a set of three, depending on your needs and available space, for €1000. A beautiful and rare set not to be missed!
