The Unique Delicacy of Senneh

Senneh kilims are distinguished by the delicacy of their weave and the precision of their patterns. On this piece, the indigo field is covered with a profusion of small stylized flowers and plant motifs, tightly packed together. The overall effect is rich but never chaotic: a regular rhythm gives the design a continuous, almost painterly movement.

A nuanced color palette

The deep indigo blue brings out the brick reds, salmon pinks, and shades of dusty rose. Hints of warm ivory, grayish turquoise, and golden ochre brighten the motifs and enliven the borders.
