Bar-style skirt suit by Franck & Fils in black wool cloth, in the tradition of Christian Dior’s New Look and dating from the late 1940s. Fitted jacket with a structured cut and a defined waist that hugs the hips. Double-breasted closure at the front with five black Bakelite buttons. Elegant topstitched and buttoned flaps accentuating the vertical front pockets. Straight, three-quarter-length skirt with a back slit and side zipper. Jacket lining in mouse-gray duchesse satin. White label with black lettering reading “Franck & Fils, 80 rue de Passy, Paris.” No flaws. Excellent color and overall condition.
Dimensions: Equivalent to French size 36/38. Jacket: shoulders 40 cm, length 59 cm, waist 70 cm, chest 88 cm. Skirt: length 66 cm, waist 67 cm.
