Cocktail dress without claw, in sand velvet and dating from the 1950s. Black satin bottom printed with multicolored paint "spots", some parts of which are velvety, using the learned Lyonnaise technique of Velours au Sabre. Sleeveless dress with kimono cutout and large shawl collar integrated with a square on the chest, called modesty. Zippered front opening and black satin waistband underlined by a braid. The skirt is full, gathered at the waist and has wide box pleats at the front. Chamois taffeta skirt lining and double reinforcement of rigid black taffeta for the bouffant. No flaws, little or no wear and the silk has retained its original rigidity. Very good color and condition.
