"Full British Court Dress In Midnight Blue Velvet - England Circa 1910-1930"
Circa 1910-1930 England. A complete set of British royal court attire dating from the first third of the 20th century. The coat, waistcoat, and breeches are made of midnight-blue cut silk velvet, complete with their original faceted steel buttons with diamond points and fully lined in cream satin. In addition to the bicorn hat—taupe with moiré ribbons and steel facings—the set includes a second cream satin waistcoat, a lace jabot and pair of gloves, as well as a pair of leather shoes marked Pearl & Co. of London (the leather is patinated and slightly worn). The breeches are labeled Randall & Walls of Bristol and marked J. Weston. Stevens. Esa, the owner's name. No flaws to report. A rare set in very fine condition, both in terms of color and preservation. Suitable for wearing or collecting. A sword and court baldric from the same set are sold separately. Dimensions: Equivalent to a French men's size 50-52. Coat: Shoulders 57 cm, sleeves 63 cm, chest 111 cm, waist 109 cm. Front length 57 cm, back length 107 cm. Breeches length 74 cm.
