Antique Louis XV-style Miniature Piano, Ideal For A French Romantic Fashion Doll.

Made in France, this Victorian miniature piano is an exquisite example of 19th-century French decorative craftsmanship. It is marked "Après ? Brevetée S.G.D.G. [Sans Garantie du Gouvernement], Modèle Déposé" on its base. This exhibition piano is therefore a registered model and probably belongs to a collection of miscellaneous objects. I know there are pianos with metal side panels and legs, some even with music boxes. Metal side panels can also be found on sledges and toy cars. Were these pianos made by Poullier-Longhaye of Lille, or were there other manufacturers?

This miniature piano is made of wood, metal and silk. The brown leather side panels are decorated with green and white flowers. The interior is covered in green silk, with metal ornaments on three sides and sturdy metal legs. A truly unique Louis XV-style miniature piano, perfect for your dolls.

Condition:

The attachment between the silk parts of the base and the lid is missing. The lid can be easily opened using a small piece of wood or metal, but the fastener is missing, as shown in one of the photos.

One of the ends of the five metal feet is missing. As it's at the rear, this isn't a nuisance, but it's good to know.

The small metal decoration at the front is glued on. All the others are fixed with nails. We don't know why.
