Used by the French army for artillery and observation, probably during the interwar period/World War II. Works on the triangulation principle.

Condition:
In fine original condition, with normal signs of use. Paintwork and markings well preserved. Complete and decorative piece. Lenses complete, all rotating elements work, visibility is good, all adjustment knobs are functional. All labels are present. It appears to be in perfect working order.

The tripod case has a large tear near the leather.

A piece of wood has been replaced on one of the tripod legs.

A new chain has been attached to all three legs so that the tripod can stand on a smooth surface.
