17th-century Stoneware Pitcher From Westerwald – With A Pewter Lid
Authentic 17th-century Westerwald salt-glazed stoneware jug, decorated in the characteristic shades of cobalt blue and gray. This model is richly decorated with applied circular motifs and an expressive mask on the neck. The jug also retains its original hinged pewter lid, making it particularly valuable. The ergonomic handle and typical Westerwald design are perfectly in keeping with the period. The pewter lid bears an external mark.
