Description of the Set: This rare case dates from the 19th or early 20th century. The maker is unknown, but the inscriptions and style suggest a French or Belgium origin. The lenses are neatly arranged in a solid wooden box, with an elegant brown velvet lining. The compartments are labeled with original French inscriptions, such as: Spherical Cylindrical Prisms etc.
Contents and Completeness: The case is divided into three sections:
Left side: Almost complete – the +10 sphericals are missing.
Middle side: 100% complete.
Right side: Three glasses are missing: -0.50 spherical -7.00 spherical +0.25 spherical
→ These spaces have been filled with duplicates from the same box to maintain the aesthetics of the set.
➕ 12 additional glasses included: 4 original glasses (duplicate) 8 glasses from another old box (very similar in style)
