"French Art Deco Bookends By Jacques Limousin Pair Of Borzoi Dogs 1920s"
Attributed to the French artist Jacques Limousin. A pair of large antique Borzoi sitting on a green marble pedestal. This beautiful set dates from the Art Deco period (circa 1920) and was made in France. The spelter Borzoi are covered in a bronze patina and have many details and a very elegant posture. They are unmarked, but attributed to the famous French artist Jacques Limousin. Very good condition, with slight discoloration to the metal base. One marble base is in perfect condition, the second has a slight dent and two very small dark brown restorations. These were probably made during the marble working. Not disturbing, but good to know.
