Solid Bronze Door Knocker, Hand Holding a Ball, 18th or Early 19th Century. Impressive and heavy bronze knocker, weighing 2160 grams. The hand holds a massive ball. Due to its size and weight, this knocker deserves your full attention. The original bronze cover plate is still present. The stud, which passes through the door, is progressively thicker and hand-threaded. Its end is pierced with a hole for the remaining iron of the retaining ring.
