"Set Of 2 Art Nouveau Silver Candlesticks “crocus” By Eugène Lefebvre"
Two very rare Art Nouveau silver candlesticks, embossed and in the shape of a crocus. Intended for desk use, they are small in size. Truly unique, they were made as a special order around 1900. Made by the famous silversmith Eugène Lefebvre, they are hallmarked with the French first-grade hallmark in the shape of a diamond and the Lefebvre maker's mark: a diamond with a bird in the center and the letters E and L on either side. These candlesticks come from the famous collection of Baron Rodolphe de Planta de Wildenburg (1915-1991), in Versailles. This makes them particularly unique.
