"Antique French Sextant Signed E. Lorieux, Hurlimann Paris No. 391 1850-1890"
I am offering a magnificent, entirely original French brass sextant with rare features and a distinctive serial number. It is signed E. Lorieux, A. Hurlimann, suc. in Paris, 391. This beautiful instrument has a radius of 22 cm, a circular arc of 28 cm, a finely engraved silver scale, and a noble wood handle. Edmond Lorieux, a Parisian master craftsman active from 1825 to 1850, transferred his activity to A. Hurlimann, his successor, who continued manufacturing until around 1890. The serial number 391 attests to a manufacture prior to the 1890s, adding to the rarity and authenticity of this collector's item. A real opportunity for collectors of antique scientific instruments and navigation enthusiasts.
Thank you for your visit. with all my friendship, Ben
