Antique Erotic Cigar Cutter Made Of Silver-plated Copper – Circa 1880–1900
Welcome to my shop.
A curious antique cigar cutter featuring a humorous, erotic scene with a man and a woman. This object, which is carved on both sides, consists of several articulated parts. When the two handles are pressed, the figures come to life while the mechanism simultaneously cuts the end of the cigar.
The cigar must be inserted into the circular opening. The articulated mechanism works properly.
This cigar cutter is made of silver-plated copper. Due to age and use, the silver plating shows wear in places, revealing the warm hue of the copper. This wear gives it a particularly authentic antique patina.
The object is neither signed nor hallmarked, as is often the case with this type of erotic smoking accessory made of silver-plated metal. Probably of French origin, it likely dates from the late 19th century, around 1880–1900.
Dimensions:
Height: 5 cm
Weight: 12 grams
