"19th Century French Spyglass / Telescope Marked P. Trambouze Paris"
Magnificent original French eyeglass, made in the early 19th century by the optician P. Trambouze, located at 92 Rue de Rennes in Paris. This exceptional object is composed of polished brass cylinders and is in excellent, fully functional condition. The eyeglass is preserved in its original wooden box, in which it can be stored. The box also contains an original wooden tripod, easily foldable and unfoldable. This tripod, painted black, creates a nice contrast with the bright gold hue of the eyeglass. The two elements form a decorative and valuable ensemble. In addition to being a beautiful object, this eyeglass is an antique piece, perfectly functional and well preserved. The brass is in very good condition, with only slight marks due to time and use. The lenses and eyepieces are also intact, despite a small dent on the brass front. The small size of the eyeglass indicates that it is a desk model. The wooden case is original, made of walnut-colored wood, with fine, very aesthetic dovetail joints. The iron handle and an old hook are missing. The box is slightly worn by time, but the wood remains in good condition. This telescope is undoubtedly an old and charming object, which will attract attention in any refined room thanks to its historical style. Engraving on the rear cylinder: P.
