19th Century Thermometer On Marble And Bronze
In a finely chased bronze frame with braided and beaded motifs, a centigrade thermometer with a serpentine reservoir sits on a brass plate secured by two flower-shaped cabochons on a sea-green marble slab. The easel stand and ring allow it to be placed on a desk or hung on the wall. The object is in very good original condition. Height 24.7 x 11.5 cm.
